Easy Kitchen Pick-me-up

Did you know that white kitchens are THE most popular?  While we love that crisp and clean look and it will work for most any design style (find your design style here) our designers recommend adding some color and texture to your space to perk it up today. Here are 3 easy ways to to do just that.

1.  Paint the walls a fresh new color.  We recommend antique glassware or kittery point green by Benjamin Moore, for almost any kitchen.  But if you don't think these paint colors will work for you, our interior designers can help your specific space.

2.  Get that clutter off the counter.  Yes, we all have groceries, homework, mail, car keys, all the things that end up on the kitchen counters, but shouldn't stay there. Try shelving, baskets, or adding a small office/mail area near the kitchen to alter the flow of 'junk.'

3.  Add greenery for form or function.  This means a lovely plant, herb, or flower that is either decorative or can be used for cooking - fresh! Kitchen windows or the island are a perfect spot for this.  3 herbs like this cost less than $20 and will last you for months (even if you don't have a green thumb.)
